Attic: The attic project was a dream from the owner and an adventure for us. We reconverted an useless space in a wonderfall meditation and working area. Fully equipped with smart lights, wifi and HVAC for around the year usable space. All the walls are isolated and the new windows the space is energy efficient. The floor is made of costumized 12inch boards. The ceiling-walls are made with novel cut boards and sidewalls are constructed with special untreated cedar planks. All the materials were delivered in the working space through a small window and everything was milled in place.
Fence: This costumized handmade fence was inspired in the old lattice design, very common in victorian houses. The extra wide door allows our customer to move big items in and out of the backyard.
We used 5/4 pinewood finished with two coats of shellac primer and two coats acrylic paint.
House siding: The house is around of 90 years old and still had its original cedar wood
shingles but it was time to renew them. We used the moment to upgrade all the windows of the house. The first step was to remove all the cedar shakes, after the inspection and replacement of certain wood structure, the house was completely wrap in housewrap to make it air tight. After the new windows were installed we proceeded to install the new cedar wood shingles.
We upgraded the design with customized trimmings in a personalized shingle design. This really gave this old house a new face.
We kept the original stained glass window and upgraded the main door for more security.
